Walter Zucchini (Zukes) : Gaul 1960-1965; House prefect 1965, 1st XV 1964-1965, captain of tennis 1965, water polo (2nd team, I think), drama (I especially enjoyed playing in G&S productions), debating, chess, choir, printing club, and the usual house sporting activities including the unforgettable
B-mile; The photo of the original school buildings reminds me that I used to practice playing the piano in one of those huts and that the back of the piano served as hiding place for
Marula wine in some of our (failed) fermentation experiments !; Graduated in Mathematical Statistics at the University of Natal, Durban, and then taught Statistics at various universities: Natal, Goettingen, Lesotho, Stellenbosch, U. Washington and Cape Town. Married to Suzanne (nee Tyrrell) 1971, widowed 1993 two children: Leon (19), Laura (16). I returned to Germany in 1993 to take up a professorship in Statistics at the University of
Goettingen. Germany.
